Great ride to Victor Harbour on a steam train today $28 return for Kelli. Will was free. Danny rode back along cycleway.

Day 71 sat 17th

Only stay 1 night and drive north stopping for a look at Murray Bridge. Arrive at the lovely town of Goolwa and stay in a clean but boring caravan park. Ride along the Murray River and people are catching plenty of European Carp and leaving them on the bank to die.

Day 70 Friday 16th

Yep, it;s a giant lobster at Kingston SE

Van made pizza on Lake Albert

Leave Robe in drizzle and gets worse as we drive North along the Coorong looking for a campsite out of the wind and with a beautiful view which is a tall order. Settle for Meningie on the shores of Lake Albert which is beautiful with the setting sun.

Day 69 Thursday 15th

Another windy night so we move to the rear of the park. Complete first uni assignment today and go walking/running with Will.

Day 68 wed 14th

Had time for baking Çin in a Van with banana'

The trouble with a great sea view is when it’s windy you cop it. Very windy last night and today finishing with a thunderstorm. Fishing along long beach with no luck.

Day 67 Tuesday 13th

Another beautiful morning in Robe. Rode the bikes to the harbour and watched a very tame sea-lion coax fish from people fishing from the harbour wall. Watched ‘The Artist’ at a little cinema in town. It is a work of art.

Day 66 mon 12th

overlooking the sea

a  hanging Robe (of meat)

Drive back to the coast to the delightful port of Robe. We were going to stay 2 nights but after an hour we were enchanted and booked another 2 nights. Have a van site overlooking the bay and this is the prettiest place we have camped so far.

Day 65 Sunday 11th

do I look silly in this?

it's a love affair

Have a look around the lovely town of Naracoorte today visiting parks and their great man made swimming lake which has free entry. Tried to have a nice alfresco dinner at Bool Lagoon but was blown away and eaten by mosquitoes. At least we tried.

Day 64 sat 10th

inside the caves with cast skeletons

viewing the fossils

fossils on cave floor

mega fauna display

Have a fantastic day visiting Victoria Caves with fossil remains of Mega Fauna and Tassie Tigers etc. In the afternoon we experienced the animated mega fauna display of this area 500,000 years ago. It was great!

Drive to Naracoorte and set up in the National park for $25/n with power and everything. Lovely spot with kangaroos.

Day 62 Thursday 8th

Inseparable

Sunset Southend

Moonrise over beach

Less windy today and canoe and beach fish but only catch babies. Go for an evening stroll along the beach to see sunset. Life’s tough.

Just incase you missed it...

A bit less windy so Dan tries canoe fishing from the beach without much luck. Drive to Beachport for a look around and you guessed it... it’s glorious. Had a bit of luck with the fishing on the way home.

Kelli's pizza in a van

Gorgeous! And so is the river.

Trade books at local bookshop before driving to Nelson (near SA border). Stop to help a Koala cross the road as there are many logging trucks doing crazy speeds. Camp in the Lower Glenelg NP on the river.

Day 55 Thursday 1st March

We are all feeling unwell today so decide to stay another day and avoid packing up. It is very windy so after playing with Will in the park we hibernate for most of the day.

Day 52 tues 28

Windy Eastern Beach

Sunset on the Eastern Breakwater

Drive to the beautiful village of Port Fairy via Warnanbool. We are sad to leave The Grampians but there’s more to see. It is very windy but we make the best of it walking and running with Will along the beach.

Day 51 Mon 26

Rain overnight preceded by an insect invasion that made us read our books under the sheet. Walk up to ‘The Pinnacle ‘through the Grand Canyon and Silent Street. Very humid and clouded in when we arrive. Clears while we eat lunch for views down to Halls Gap and beyond. Will walks an hour up and most of the way down with being carried. What a champion!
